KROMM BOUD
The Didgeridoo in the Service of Mobility
It will be suitable for all musicians performing on stage, on the street, while walking through a crowd, or while dancing.
PLAYING STANDING UP AND BEING MOBILE
With the help of a stand, it is possible to play the didgeridoo while standing and to accommodate the instrument’s straight shape, length, and weight. This solution may be sufficient in many situations, but it is no longer practical when the musician needs to move around or when stage space is limited.
Moving around while playing the didgeridoo requires a compact design, ergonomic features, and a comfortable carrying system. The “KROMM BOUD” (curved drone) didgeridoos meet all three of these requirements and are perfectly suited to the demands of the stage, street performances, walking performances, or dance.
CLEAR HEARING
Because of the didgeridoo’s long shape, the musician is in the worst position to hear what he or she is playing. In a very noisy environment, without the option of a sound system with monitors, not being able to hear oneself quickly becomes a problem. Delivering a high-quality performance becomes a frustrating ordeal.
The compact design of the “KROMM BOUD” and the orientation of the bell provide the musician with a clear hearing of their music. Refining one’s playing with precision then becomes natural and fluid.
ERGONOMICS
Carrying a didgeridoo weighing between 2 and 4 kg for the entire duration of a performance is a strain on the hands, arms, shoulders, and back. Eventually, this affects the quality of the performance. Maintaining a comfortable posture is also essential to ensuring the stamina required for the performance.
The design of the “KROMM BOUD” models ensures that the angle of the mouthpiece is compatible with a comfortable head position for the musician. The weight distribution and carrying method (saxophone harness or over the shoulders) minimize unnecessary strain. This allows the musician to remain fully focused on their music.
